BLS Training Offered

What Is BLS Training?

Basic Life Support (BLS) is a level of medical care used in life-threatening emergencies before full medical help arrives. BLS includes techniques such as:

  • High-quality CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)

  • Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

  • Team-based emergency response

  • Airway management and rescue breathing

BLS training is often provided through American Red Cross (ARC) certified courses and is available in both in-person and blended online formats.

If you work in the medical field, BLS certification for healthcare providers is usually required as part of your job. This includes:

  • Registered Nurses (RNs)

  • Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)

  • Nurse Practitioners (NPs)

  • Pharmacists

  • Physicians and Physician Assistants

  • EMTs and Paramedics

  • Respiratory Therapists

  • Medical Assistants

  • Dental Hygienists and Assistants

  • Radiology Technicians

  • Autism Behavioral Specialists

These professionals must maintain current BLS certification to comply with workplace regulations and ensure patient safety.

Emergencies can happen anywhere, anytime. With BLS certification, you’ll be prepared to:

  • Respond confidently during cardiac arrest or choking

  • Provide effective CPR and use an AED

  • Support emergency medical teams

  • Meet employer or licensure requirements

Most importantly, you’ll have the skills to save a life when it matters most.
